A 16-year-old student at Silas High School in Tacoma, Washington, was arrested for allegedly pointing a loaded semiautomatic pistol at another student on school grounds. The Tacoma Police Department responded to the incident shortly before 2 p.m. and placed the school on lockdown as a precaution.
The teen was found in a classroom and taken into custody without incident. A search of his vehicle uncovered a stolen Glock 19 with a modified “Glock Switch” attachment, enabling it to function as a fully automatic weapon. The firearm was loaded with 17 rounds but had no chambered round.
Due to his age, officers were unable to interview him. He was charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and carrying a weapon on school premises.
