SEATTLE — Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a woman critically injured in the North Beacon Hill neighborhood during the morning commute.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Beacon Avenue South and South McClellan Street. A 32-year-old woman was struck while using a marked crosswalk. According to Seattle police, the impact threw her into the air, and she suffered a severe head injury.
Officers and firefighters responded quickly, providing immediate medical aid before rushing her to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say the suspect was driving a white Ford Mustang and have obtained video footage showing the vehicle turning right and striking the woman in the crosswalk.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) are actively working to identify the driver and are asking the public to share any information that may help.
