A man in north Seattle was robbed at gunpoint after a green Kia nearly hit him and his family near Northgate Mall. Police say the suspects followed the family, chased the victim, threatened him with a handgun, stole his sunglasses, and punched him before driving away. Officers later found the Kia and its occupants, who sped off at nearly 90 miles per hour when police tried to stop them, leading to a long pursuit around Lake Washington. The chase ended in Kirkland, where police arrested three men and an eighteen year old woman. During the pursuit, someone threw a 10mm handgun out of the car, which officers later recovered along with matching ammunition found on one suspect. The three men were booked into King County Jail for robbery, attempting to elude police, and unlawful firearm possession, while the woman was identified and released. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
